i am a mom, and wicked stepmother (with two adorable granddaughters) who somehow found herself living in alfred, new york. after living in mississippi for 10 years. i feel like an outsider here, and that's why i started this blog. i don't know that it's helping!

anyway, i love: my morning coffee, staying up way past my bed time, chocolate, wearing grey, reading, movies (i am a sucker for anything with gabriel byrne), photography, traveling, pez dispensers, felix the cat, and shot glasses. i used to love to cook, and hate to talk on the phone (i do not even own a cell phone).

i fill my long days in denial, taking care of neurotic cats and one dog, and trying to get over the fact i traded in hurricanes for snow!
